At Cityview we love our residents, and we want them to know it! Wednesday 18th come out to the clubhouse with your furry friends and let us shower them with treats! This is a great place for your pets to make new friends and be spoiled rotten! Also, don’t forget that Sunday is Earth Day! Come out to the clubhouse and pick up some seeds to start the container garden on your patio. This is a great way to get fresh vegetables and herbs!

Here is a great link to an article that discuss how to maximize your apartment space for gardening!

Winter Energy Saving Tips

in Green Living

  • Lowering your thermostat from 68º F during the daytime to 55º F at night can reduce your heating costs by up to 20%.
  • Let the sun shine in! Open your window coverings on sunny days to help warm the rooms.
  • Use compact fluorescent lamps. You can lower your lighting bill by converting to energy-effcient low-wattage compact florescent lighting and fixtures.
  • Clean or replace furnace and air-conditioner filters regularly, following manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Wash only full loads in a dishwasher and use the shortest cycle that will get your dishes clean. If operating instructions allow, turn off the dishwasher before the drying cycle, open the door and let the dishes dry naturally.
  • Wash only full loads in a washing machine and dryer and use the shortest cycle that will get your clothes clean. Remember to clean the lint trap before every load; this step helps your dryer work more efficiently
  • Dry your clothes not bake them!
  • Microwaving small amounts of food instead of heating them up in the oven saves energy.
